Kate Lockwood
Kate Lockwood BSc (Hons) Osteopathic Medicine.
Kate Lockwood is a graduate from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine. Kate developed an interest in Osteopathy many years ago after herself and her horse benefited enormously from Osteopathic treatment. So impressed was she by the Osteopathic approach that she made the life changing decision to leave a successful career as a Veterinary Nurse and retrain as an Osteopath.
As a result of her Veterinary Nursing background she continues to develop her career in the Osteopathic care of animals – in particular dogs and horses – and is currently undertaking a postgraduate masters qualification in Animal Osteopathy.
Kate is a keen horsewoman and has competed in Dressage and Eventing since a young age. Owing to this experience she specialises in the treatment of horse riders – understanding only too well the aches and pains associated with all aspects of horse care. She also owns a very lively bordercolliex named Alfie with whom she partakes in Agility Training.
Kate is available to treat all members of the family and her treatments consist of a variety of techniques including structural osteopathy, visceral and cranial methods as well asĀ naturopathic and nutritional advice, all structured to the individual patient.
After your initial consultation, provided you are deemed appropriate for Osteopathic care, an explanation of your problem, the proposed treatment plan and home care advice will be given.
Kate is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the British Osteopathic Association.
